My Vision for IfT?

Of all the many and various electrotherapy modalities, past and present, IfT is still the most versatile and effective

I have always considered myself as a “bucket practitioner”! With more than 40 years of clinical experience of looking at what IfT can do with real patients, as well as amassing hundreds of research papers, I think it is high time that IfT equipment was re-designed.

With new equipment then clinical trials and research projects need to be done to support and verify my clinical findings and to get to the cellular mechanism of actually how it does it.

Once we start to find out the very specific effects of different frequencies on different cells in the body, then I believe it will open up a new area of medicine that will actually start treating conditions instead of just moderating symptoms

THIS IS MY PLAN!

To start this journey of re-invention, I want to develop a home device for the treatment of hayfever. Having done that, then I can move on to asthma and a whole range of other conditions that I clinically know will respond to IfT.

At the moment, I am carrying out a small clinical research trial with a specific group of patients with complex bowel problems including Crohn’s disease.

At the same time I am researching problems with the Vagus Nerve and shortly will have another site specifically for these patients.

Matthew, Noreen and Diana

If you think the Interferential Therapy may help you as part of a Specialist Phyiotherapy programme, then contact Diana, Noreen or Matthew at Stortford Park Physiotherapy. They were part of our clinical team at Stort Physio and continue to use IfT in their work.

They are part of a small number of physiotherapists these days who understand and know the value of IfT. Maybe because they all worked with me since they qualified as Chartered Physiotherapists and have seen, first hand its’ value as part of the whole Treatment Programme!
